I have been writing for a number of years in quite a few genres, but nothing made me happier when I stumbled upon the genre of children’s fiction. The creation of the characters of Serena Silver, Derek, and the cat Mr No Name, in Serena Silver – Secret Agent S I found a voice and a longing to share these character’s stories. This led me to write Scrub and the Sea Serpent. Both books are shorter than regular children’s novels, in fact, I call them novellas and they breach the gap between picture books and YA novels.
After a few years of writing articles and screenplays, after the novellas, I delved into the wonderful world of children’s picture books. After a couple of courses, I had several stories already written (note: Never throw away old or what you think is a bad story, you will go back to them eventually. I did). This led me to a year of writing and creating 21 picture book titles. These stories I decided to self-publish. That decision was easy. I always love to learn new things and with the help of my book designer and YouTube I learned a series of programs that brought my books to life. All of my titles are in my SHOP.
‘A Dandelion’s Wish’ follows the journey of a dandelion head as it floats amongst city streets, playgrounds and rivers, cafes and tunnels to grant a special wish to a worthy soul.
When it finally senses a brother’s earnest prayer for his ailing sister. It takes flight, hovering above the little girl’s bedside.
Just one seed, just one wish granted – a poignant tale of hope, love, and the magic that lies within a dandelion’s delicate kiss.
